  • Father Jorge Rojas, S.J., a Cuban-Dominican-American Jesuit priest, has dedicated his life to pastoral work, spiritual guidance, and educational initiatives within the Society of Jesus. Born on February 12, 1969, in Camaguay, Cuba, Father Rojas embodies a rich multicultural background that influences his diverse approach to ministry.

    Father Rojas's journey in the Society of Jesus began with his novitiate and juniorate in Havana, Cuba, from 1997 to 2000. During this time, he also engaged in community service, contributing to church repairs, nursing homes, and diocesan charitable initiatives in Camaguay.

    His commitment to education and spiritual formation led him to pursue ecclesiastical studies at the School of Theology in Granada, Spain, from 2003 to 2009. He furthered his academic pursuits with a master's degree in educational administration from the Iberoamerican University in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, between 2010 and 2012.

    Throughout his career, Father Rojas held various pastoral and administrative roles. He served as pastor at the Sacred Heart of Jesus and Saint Ignatius of Loyola Parish in Havana, Cuba, from 2006 to 2009. During his tenure, he oversaw youth ministry initiatives and contributed to the vocations office team.

    Father Rojas's involvement extended to educational endeavors, including his role as co-founder of the "New Future" School in the Dominican Republic, from 2000 to 2015. Additionally, he served as a student spiritual counselor at the Colegio de Loyola in Santo Domingo from 2000 to 2003.

    His commitment to youth ministry is evident in his roles as a parochial vicar, spiritual counselor, and director of various institutions. He served as a member of the pastoral team at Our Lady of Guadalupe Parish in Doral, Florida, from 2012 to 2015, and Father Jorge Rojas, S.J., a Cuban-Dominican-American Jesuit priest, has dedicated his life to pastoral work, spiritual guidance, and educational initiatives within the Society of Jesus. Born on February 12, 1969, in Camaguey, Cuba, Father Rojas embodies a rich multicultural background that influences his diverse approach to ministry.

    Father Rojas's expertise extends beyond pastoral work into educational administration, spiritual direction, and event planning. He possesses basic skills in computer science, interior design, and landscaping, which complement his passion for youth and vocational ministry.

    Currently residing in Miami, Florida, Father Rojas continues to serve as the Director of the Agrupacion Catolica Universitaria and Casa Manresa, a Marian Sodality founded by Spanish Jesuit Fr. Felipe Rey de Castro SJ in Havana, Cuba, in 1931. Today, this institution is based in Miami, with branches in various U.S. cities and Puerto Rico.

    Father Jorge Rojas, with his multicultural background, academic achievements, and extensive experience in pastoral and educational roles, remains dedicated to fostering spiritual growth and educational opportunities within the Catholic community and was responsible for the physical plant at the Manresa Spirituality Center in Santo Domingo.

    Again from 2020-2024 I was parish priest of the Sacred Heart Church of Jesus and Saint Ignatius of Loyola (Queen) and in charge of the restoration of the temple in the year of its centenary.

  • Dr. Manuel P. Anton, III has been an ACU Congregante since 1981, having done his aspirantado in Atlanta, Ga., where he helped to found the Atlanta ACU Chapter in 1978. He attended Marist High School, Emory College and Emory School of Medicine, and did his residency and fellowship at Boston University, along with health policy and management courses at the Harvard School of Public Health. He recently retired as Chief Medical Officer (CMO) for HCA’s Kendall Regional Medical Center, having previously served as CMO for the 14 South Florida hospitals of HCA for seven years. Prior to that, he served at Mercy Hospital in Miami, as Sr. V.P./Medical Director, COO and finally as the CEO. Previously, he served ten years at Orlando Health in medical education and administration.

    He has done several missions, to the Dominican Republic and Peru, and has volunteered with the Belen Jesuit Parent Advisory Council, as well as with the Hispanic Heritage Youth Awards. He has served on the Board of the ACU, Catholic Hospice, the Mercy Foundation Board, the Mercy Mission Services Board and the SSJ Health Foundation Board. He now serves on the Catholic Health Services Board of Trustees. Manuel has participated in the Atlanta ACU from 1978-1985, Orlando ACU from 1991-2001, and the Miami ACU since 2001. In addition, for ten years he visited the Washington ACU twice a year, and the Puerto Rico ACU several times a year. He served as ACU Board Member and Instructor in Atlanta and Orlando, as at large from Miami, and as sub-Instructor in Miami. Manny is married with four children and five grandchildren.

  • Cesar Guerrero has been an ACU member since 2005 and Miami House President since 2021.

    He was introduced to ACU by Julio Ruiz Jr. in the early 1990 and many years later and more than 12 Spiritual Exercises later, he joined the ACU with Alfonso Ledo as his Godfahter.

    Cesar Guerrero was born is Santo Domingo D.R. and attended La Salle High School, graduating in 1972. Cesar graduated from Univ. Catolica Madre y Maestra in 1977 with a Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering. He received his MBA in International Business from the University of Miami in 1984 and continued his education by graduating with a Masters of Science in Logistics and Supply Chain Management from FIU in 2020. 

  • Nino has been proudly serving the ACU as the San Juan Chapter’s President for many years. A strong leader who knows when to stand up for what is right. A great model for many Aspirants and Postulants.

  • This is Alex’s second time as President of the ACU Washington Chapter which began in 2020. His first term was from 2005 to 2009.

    Alex spent his last semester in college at the University of Navarre in Pamplona and holds a BA from George Mason University. He is a Sr Loan Officer at Intercoastal Mortgage in Fairfax, VA. He has held various positions since 1993 including Builder Account Manager, Director of Alternative Lines of Business and Sales Manager.

    While leading the Presidency of the ACU in 2005 he started a Capital Campaign to fully renovate the ACU house in DC and was successful in raising enough funds to do the work without having to incur any debt.

    Currently he is working on an initiative with students at Catholic University of America (CUA) to teach them about the ACU and hopefully bring in new members. He is also looking to, once again, renovate the ACU house to welcome more CUA residents to the house and establish some scholarship opportunities.

  • Dr. Alexander Saker joined the ACU Atlanta Chapter at its founding in 1978, did his aspirantado and became an ACU Congregante in 1981. He attended Woodward Academy and Emory University in Atlanta, then the Medical College of Georgia in Augusta. He completed his Internal Medicine residency at the University of South Florida in Tampa, followed by fellowship training in Oncology and Hematology at Moffit Cancer Center in Tampa and Emory University. He has been a practicing partner with Suburban Hematology- Oncology Associates in Gwinnett County, Ga since 1992, also serving in multiple clinical and leadership committees with the practice and Gwinnett Health System.

    He has remained active with the ACU Atlanta Chapter and its activities since his return to Atlanta in 1992, including serving as Cana group leader and with ACU Atlanta leadership, and most recently as Atlanta representative to the ACU National Board.

    He is married since 1986 and has four children and two grandchildren.
