Silence in a Professional Setting

Earlier this month on Nov 7th Dr. Carlos Moas presented to the Catholic Young Professionals (CYP) on the importance of "silence" in a professional setting. Dr. Moas borrowed from the works of His Eminence Robert Sarah (Cardinal and retired prefect of the Congregation for Divine Worship), Saint Ignatius of Loyola, and other scholarly sources to show how necessary silence is in both our professional and personal lives. He outlined some practical tips on how to avoid multi-tasking and how to prioritize communication. He then concluded his presentation citing examples from both his personal and professional life where he was better able to lead a Christ-centered life by creating moments of "interior silence".

Congregante, Joe Rasco, Elected as Mayor of Key Biscayne

Congregant Joe Rasco has been elected as the new Mayor of Key Biscayne. Joe, who is a 44-year resident of Key Biscayne and a founding member when the city incorporated in 1991, defeated Fausto Gomez by a comfortable margin of 2,889-1,759 (62.16%-37.84%) in what had been a hard-fought battle.

Many congrats to Joe for this great accomplishment! May the Lord continue to guide your path and may the foundation that is your formation come to your aid when faced with difficult decisions as Mayor.
