The Washington house of the ACU was established in the early 1960s, when Agrupados began meeting at Georgetown University. Within a few years, a house was purchased near Catholic University. Given its stable base of Agrupados that went from being university students to established professionals, the house generated a number of annual traditions, like Christmas villancicos, the Vía Crucis on Good Friday, and the Feast of Christ the King. Agrupados from the Washington house play an active leadership role in several local Hispanic service organizations. Through tradition and service, the house continues to attract both students and young professionals.
