The Orlando group of the ACU began in the late 1960s, when a group of Agrupado physicians settled in the area, largely comprised of married professionals with children. Over the years, the group came to function primarily as a Caná group of married couples. However, in the 1990s, the Orlando group was blessed by a resurgence of interest in attracting university students and young professionals, which helped to broaden the group's membership significantly. In fact, its formation program for new members served as an impetus for the renewal of formation programs at other ACU groups.
